What are these, and why?

Hello,
While trying to do some housekeeping last night I noticed that I have about 20 files named:
DiskCacheIndex#####.tmp (#=5 digits)

They are on my SDcard root.

What are they are they needed and can I delete them with no future issues?

Good question. I have about 10 or so of these.

I deleted them and didn't see anything change on my phone. I guess they're temp files that get created when you install something. They're only needed during the installation process. Don't delete any license that you might have though.
