weird ticking noise please read droid 2.1

ok, so when i hold my device and text or simply use it on the edge (when phone is closed left edge) makes a noise when touched, like a tick noise, but only when touched, its driving me insane, i know it doesnt have to do with the technology, unless i could be wrong, but it only makes the noise when touched,....anyone else have this? or know how to fix it

-Settings-Sound-uncheck "Audible selection".

I'm not sure If I read your problem right, but if I did this should fix you up.

I think the OP is referring to the slight gap between the screen and keyboard parts of the phone. It CAN loosen up and cause a slight clicking noise when certain areas of the screen are tapped. The only fix I know of is to use one of the hard cases - OR they make stickers that you can affix to the rear part of the screen.
