Weird problem with GPS/Nav?Maps?

Last night during service calls while using maps the blue arrow that is my location would disappear and the only way to get it back was to restart Maps. Once restarted the arrow would come back and a minute or two later disappear.
I was near a Air National Guard base (177Th)... is it possible that the radar and other electronics at the base a few miles away could block GPS and/or Data causing a glitch?

While being near a base is possible, I want stationed on a much larger base and never had those issues.
