I was wondering if this was ever going to happen. I thought we needed a phone with an omap3430 processor. Now we have one. It'd love to see this...

That would actually be pretty sweet, except I'm sure screen resolution will be a huge problem, as well as the crappy app store.

the Droids 854x480 screen is both a blessing and a curse...

maybe we can get Maemo off of the Nokia N900 though... hmmmm

or of course my favorite GUI: the fabled First ELSE:

i too would love to see this. i am a big fan of the droid hardware and apps, but os pales in comparison to the webos. the reminders, ability to snooze, the small displays that show you the first line of an email and who its from. Ive tried some apps/widgets that are supposed to do these tasks but none of them work quite well. it would be sick to have webos with droid market apps.

WebOS' language allows it to dynamically scale the resolution of the display up and down, depending on the situation (for instance, when a notification comes in, the currently open app resizes itself). So, aside from making the icons hi-res, it might not need all that much work.

And I should mention, I think having it would be the best thing ever.
