Water on my droid x

Hi I am Nikki and I am new to this forum. I got my droid x in water and I was wondering how long I need to let it dry out for. The screen flickers a bit and it doesn't wanna work. I wanna see if I can get it to work without having to pay $89 for another one. I just got this phone a month ago and I have full coverage on it as well. Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated.
