Hey, I am a real newbie:). I have some home movies and I want to put them on the droid. I saved them on mp4 to play threw itunes before I had a droid. I want to only take a phone on a trip and show the film to family members out of state. Do I need an app for this....if so which one. If not, how do I do this?

IIRC you can go to Gallery and load the movies from there. I use Act 1 Video Player (a paid app).

I created a folder called Movies on the SD card, copied the MP4s to it. Then opened Gallery, and clicked on Movies and then clicked on the one I want to watch.

As ss13 stated, no app needed, the gallery app will play MP4's just fine.

I play movies all the time. Just need to download them as a MP4 or convert them and drag and drop them on your memory card and the phone will do the rest. You can find them in your gallery under video's.
