Google I/O 2014 kicks off in just over 2 hours (as of the time of this post). We have the livestream link right here so you don't need to go anywhere else. We will be sharing stories throughout the day of anything interesting or relevant that pops up. That way, if you don't have time to watch the event, you sill still get a quick glimpse of the news filtering out.

Here's a link to the event schedule so you can plan out what you prefer to watch: https://www.google.com/events/io/schedule#!/filter/live-streaming

Not looking to start a flaming war, just maybe a general discussion. Hopefully they will focus on refining the look of Android, the quality of the experience, and stability. To me, stock Android looks like it was designed by a 2 year old and any OEM skins that actually look decent, seem to make it run horrible. Been an Android user since the OG and to be honest, unless they do something to make it a better experience, I will be switching to the iPhone 6 this year. Anyone else feel the same way?

Looks like you're getting your wish! The new look is good, even if it does hint at Microsoft (to me). Looks like some of the features of the Moto X are getting incorporated like "trusted devices" that they refer to as a kind of a device awareness..

They talked about Android Silver and I like it. Not sure about the UI of stock Google. I don't like the basic shape buttons at the bottom. The animations/transitions...I've always been a fan of instant screen changing. Some of them are nice but some need unnecessary like the pulsing of buttons when you press them.

I'd assume the animations would be like they are now where you can speed them up or turn them off if you want. I like that they're making things uniform. I wonder what impact this will have on OEMs like Samsung who skinn everything they touch... Maybe this is why they began the move to Tizen.

Ooo! He's talking about the watch!
