Hey guys.. Newbie starting here. Look forward to learning lots and sharing with the forum as well. Just rooted my Samsung Fascinate for the first time.. WOW awesome.. Now all I need to do is understand what I just did.. LOL All I know if you are looking to root the Samsung Fascinate you DEFINITELY need to hit up MRDROID post on the newbie guide to rooting the fascinate. It worked perfectly.

I suppose the next newbie question would be. Now what? Whats next to do after I have rooted the phone? I would like to upgrade the OS from 2.1 to 2.2, and I dont want to wait until the push from Verizon. Is there a good tutorial on updating the OS? Also how to get rid of bloatware and base apps I just dont want on the phone. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance..
