I currently have a Droid X, and am wanting to upgrade to the newly released Thunderbolt. However, I currently live in a 3G-only area.

What would be the advantages of the Thunderbolt, aside from the eHRPD support and unlimited LTE? LTE won't be here until 2012. :(

How does HTC Sense 2.0 compare to the new Motoblur (as seen on the Droid X2 and leaked firmware for the original X?

AFAIK, the Thunderbolt is actually smaller than the Droid X:

Droid X: 5.02 x 2.58 x 0.39 (HWD)
Thunderbolt: 4.75 x 2.44 x 0.56 (HWD)

Has anybody else that has upgraded from a Droid X noticed the above as well?

It's a bit shorter and thicker than the x. I like the UI much better than blur.

I wouldn't call going to a Thunderbolt from a Droid X much of an upgrade. I'd wait till the X2 comes out man. Just my opinion. :)

My brother has a thunderbolt, I love the ui, the speed, and seems to have a pretty awesome battery life.

Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using DroidForums

Are you on the new GB blur right now or is your phone still stock?
