Thanks for the advise! I knew about backing up before touching anything, but I guess you could say I've read so much, everything kinda runs together. I've downloaded alot of stuff for my DX but I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before I do anything.

What I've downloaded (after rooting since i'm thinking i'll need all these for roms/themes once I learn more):
ASTRO
Ad free (not needed, just wanted it though)
drocap2 (again i know it's not needed, but it's cool)
Titanium Backup
Bootstrapper

Guess I need to enjoy my vacation a little, so I'm going to step away from the forums for a little before I get too tempted and spend half a day trying to backup/deodex/apply rom/theme...

Instead of ASTRO, you should pick up Root Explorer from the market. It's a paid app, but an extremely useful on to have.

hehe on the deep sea.. I am way to curious.. i break things a lot

x2 on paying for root explorer way worth it imo
