Want to remove myself from group messages - Samsung Transform

Hello All!

My family sends out a plethora of group messages each morning that goes well beyond the "have a good morning". Just this morning I received 15 texts in 30 minutes from five of them. One will start the conversation as a group message and the others jump on the bandwagon. Is there a way I can "block" from receiving group messages? I want to still receive individual texts from them - I just never want to receive a group text. Asking them to not include me in the group has not seemed to help. Just hoping my phone has an option to block. Any help appreciated!

Do they happen to be using iPhones? If so that's called iMessage and unless they turn off iMessage it's automatically used when texting another iPhone user, even if it is a group message. Got a couple friends with iPhones and they use it, gets annoying.
