Hey guys I was wondering if it is possible to hack the phone call app so that you can actually press HOME or BACK during a phone call while it is ringing.

That would be so cool because I find myself silencing calls and just waiting there for it to go to VM, I hate that lol!

Come on I'm not the only popular one with girls calling 24/7  hehe

But just wondering if this is even possible not for someone to make it :)

    Thanks!

i normally just hit the silence button, and put the phone to sleep, via the button on top of the phone, that way i dont have to worry about accidentally answering it while its still ringing. maybe thatll work until someone gets your request completed.

and fwiw, i dont have girls calling me non-stop... i got married. so i only have one calling me non-stop..... :(

This would be a pretty intricate hack. I wouldn't even know where to start. I can ask around though.

Yea true, it would just be running while the call is in place and just give the home launcher the rights over the phone app, which currently it doesn't.

Yea ask around cause this would be so cool and give us even more control over our devices :)

No declining sends it immediately to voicemail, which the person knows you declined it and that is what I am trying to avoid with this possible hack. If I'm using my phone and I get a call I have to wait for the duration of the call until it goes to voicemail to get back to what I was doing.

I am trying to see if it is possible to do what I said in my OP.

lol, never thought of doing the long press. Well, it works but only if you are using the phone. If your phone is in sleep, it wont do anything at all. Also, you can only access your recent apps that come up in the pop up...I cant find a way to the main menu....anyone?

cystic, what you said will work when you answer a call, but not when you are trying to wait for it to timeout and go to vmail..
