The Fcc fined big red 125m 5 days ago over blocking tetering apps on Google Play, Google. Now you can download & use them.
Guess its the end of Grandfathered unlimited data.

No, they'll more than likely just throttle the unlimited users, including 4G.

Unfortunately I'd have to agree. I think that would be the "loophole" that Verizon exposes.

I'd rather be throttled then lose unlimited data, but that's just me.

Same. If I'm going to be paying the $30/mo still I'd rather be throttled than limited to 2gb, or whatever it is now.

Since 4g has never been throttled, I wonder how much they'd slow the speed down though...3g speeds?

I think it would depend on your area. To me verizon should just do a percentage thing like if you reach 2GB we'd throttle you by like 5% then go up as you use more. LTE speeds are just too varied (like 3G speeds) to just say you'll go from 40mbps to 10. Since some people may only get 5-10mbps of LTE. So to me a percentage would be more fair then set numbers.

I agree. A percentage is the most fair way, but then again since when was Verizon really fair? We'll have to wait and see, but your idea about percentages is a good one if they do decide to throttle.

I personally get around 15-24mpbs, depending on the time of day. So if it slows down to maybe like 10-18mbps it wouldn't matter much to me. But I really do see it as an easy solution, throttle 4g by only letting the account on 3g signal or just throttle it down to around 3g speeds. Verizon has been pretty upfront about what they wanted to do, I'm sure they won't take throttling very lightly if they are going to throttle anyone.
