I just got a Galaxy 4. before rooting it to remove bloatware it was able to voice to text, but after i got rid of a good number of things the voice to text thing is gone. i was wondering if anyone had any idea what program or process, etc was allowing me to have this feature, so i know which one to bring back. i would do it one at a time, but i got rid of quite a bit; I was hoping this would be a lot quicker.

Did you disable Google search or voice search or talkback

I have reason to believe it's voice search. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! This is my first phone without a physical keyboard, and it's much easier to speak than type on the soft keyboard.

I really hate soft keyboards, but the physical ones are a dying breed

No worries! I've done the same thing. You kind of get overly excited when realizing you can disable the bloat were and you just disable things that you read and sound like you won't use them. Then when you start to use your phone things are missing or erroring out and is like umm oops. Lol. Glad it's working for you buddy.
