After some trial and error, I have everything running on my BB Froyo Rom that I want running. Flash works, maps works, messaging works (with handcent) and it's overclocked. However, this morning I went to go install Visual Voicemail from Verizon, and it is non-existent in the market. Unfortunately none on my apps transferred over so I have had to just go by memory. Not a huge deal, but I pay for the Visual Voicemail from Verizon, so I sort of want it. Does anyone have the .apk for Visual Voicemail available, or have a reason why it won't show up in the market anymore? Other than that minor issue, everything is great with this new Rom. I'm just waiting for the smoked glass theme now =]

I just searched for "visual voice mail" and it pulled up one by Verizon. Not sure if that's the one you need though.

That's the one I need. That's odd, because I just did another search, and I only get three results, and the Verizon app is not present. I don't understand why it wouldn't show up for me. I have the first update that Pete released yesterday, not the updated one he has now. Do you think that would make a difference? It's running really well, so I don't really want to update if it's not necessary.

I'm running the 1st ROM he posted not the update that he posted this morning. I don't think that would make a difference anyways.

Now I really don't understand why it would show up in the market for you and not for me. Is there a chance you could download it and then pull the .apk for me? I just don't see why it would show up for you and not for me when we are running the same ROM.

I downloaded it but can't seem to find the .apk for it in the system/app folder. Hmm.... I'll keep trying for ya and let you know what I can do. I'll have to do it during my down time at work.

Thank you for trying. Let me know if you can figure it out. I just got a call from someone and I missed it and they left a voicemail. Turns out I get text message from a weird number telling me I have visual voicemail, so I just call my voicemail and I am able to access it there. So, fortunately I can still receive them, I just can't use the app. I appreciate you taking time to help.

I have the exact same issue. Just recently installed BBv.1 with 1100 overclock kernel and all my apps downloaded/updated on their own except visual voicemail. Went to manually install and can't find it anywhere in the market. Does anybody have a fix or a Verizon visual voicemail apk?

Try this app. It makes all the apps in the app market available. Just open the app then open app market and search for visual voicemail. It will not be under the Verizon tab so you have to search. This worked for me, hope it does the same for you.

    MarketAccess [AMIP now playing]

I gave that a shot, and it still didn't show up. I only get three results when typing in 'Visual Voicemail' and the verizon app is not present. Any other ideas?

Here yo go. I pulled it from the 2.2 update.zip so I would think it would work.
Rename to VVMStub.apk, push to system/app, change permissions to rw-r-r,
    reboot.

    Visual Voicemail

I have Visual Voicemail and hate it. I can never hear the message even going to speaker and want to cancel it and just go to regular *86 voice mail, but can't seem to get rid of it. Any ideas appreciated.

    solution

The solution is simple, but subtle.

In the market search for "visual voice mail" NOT "visual voicemail"
