I can't thank you enough for the speedy response. I found that FLY .06 has some issues with SPRE and that was a huge part of my issue as well, but I rooted to a stockish 2.1 linked from the thread link, and once I had clockworkmod rom manager installed and setup with the rooted phone I was able to get FLY .06 up and running!

    Thank you again!

Sooo... I tried to do a quick little search, but couldn't find it. I followed the video and link on the first video. Did the recovery thing, install update.zip, reboot. But... I don't have the SuperUser icon thingy... anywhere. Does that mean it didn't work... or what?

    Thanks.

Edit: Never mind. I followed a different set of instructions, at it worked perfectly. :) Now... to figure out what the hell I'm doing. Haha.

on the nandroid backup, he has discontinued DroidRootPro from the market, now there is no way to "Get the Tools" and DroidRootHelper just gives me a link to download DroidRootPro form mediafire

    I just downloaded ClockWorld Mod.

To be honest I just rooted tonight by following his steps, so I am pretty new to this if you will bear with me.

No big deal man. Just turn off your phone. Slide out the keyboard, Hold down the X button and hold down the power buttin till you see the "M". Let go of the power button and the X button. Let me know when the bootloader is up and running.
