The manager at or local Verizon branch and I have been talking bout this. He says its happening. Verizon is waiting on lte to be more expanded which should hopefully be by then... I was looking forward to it but with getting the Droid I'm in no rush. I mess with the friends iPhone and my Droid... they're both pretty much the same little differences..
This would have excited the hell out of me before November 6th. Now, honestly, I really don't care. Even after I am done with the Droid, I think I am going to stick with Android phones. I am happy to see Verizon finally getting some real smartphones though.
Verizon is like, "All your base, are belong to us!" lol
I was thinking the exact same thing! Now I'm like "So what!".
that news post is from April. A lot had changed since then..
Well, here's one posted today. Like you guys, I don't really care about the iPhone. I'm in love with my Droid. Still, seems like 2010 will be a good year for Verizon, its already going good with the Droind and its cousins:icon_ banana:
It'll be interesting to see what happens to AT&T when then happens. I remember when Consumer Reports did a test on the first iPhone. One of the downsides they noted was that it was linked to AT&T.
fall 2011 is when the iphone lands just saying
an iphone on a CDMA network doesn't sound like something an apple kid would like.
3 months ago the iPhone coming to VZW would have been huge! Android phones are staking their claim right now however.
While I believe the iPhone will still do just fine if it came to VZW (sales), it won't claim the market share it would've 3 months ago. Android is taking it's piece .... and it's hungry... so the piece may get bigger.
Apple = while they set the trend in motion, will be late to the party.
