3 business days for snail mail to arrive then Verizon takes between 7-10 business days for checks to get through the system and the account shows as being paid up/off. Key words are business days with them, just like many corporations. They might have folks on duty 24/7 but the bean counting staff is Monday-Friday ,9-5 with lots of breaks and a long lunch so........

If you're not on an unlimited data plan, which she is, would be great. Still doesn't help her. Sure device would work great as wifi only, but she can't get internet at her house. She has the DirecTV att unlimited cell phone which doesn't allow hotspot access.

I have been given the solutions I needed. Every question I needed was answered in the beginning of the thread.

There is no stupid question, or so I have been told. On the bright side verizon released the code and just as most of you mentioned it is not compatable.

So, AT&T is replacing our tablets for free! Whoop! Whoop!

I had to dig into what you said and after reading the fine print you are right. I did not realize ATT prohibits wifi use with that plan.

Get the AT&T Unlimited Plan

Thanks for pointing that out because that scraps my idea of using your phone's built in hotspot if att doesn't allow that.

You are correct. I have had patience though. The question was obvious, I stated it above. They had confirmation of said check but still would not release the code to me.

They wanted their money, I gave it to them. It is only right i get to in turn use the device how I see fit since I now own it.

Forgive me if I missed something in this thread but I didn't think anyone had an issue with your question. I'll admit I missed that you were on ATT unlimited data and therefore could not tether, but I saw a number of solutions here.

Ok, let me explain the situation a little bit better. And I feel a thread addressing the issue would help people understand where I am coming from.

It is EXTREMELY hard for me to join a site such as this. It has been quite a challange for me.

I appear quite normal, however I suffer from several mental disorders. The main ones that effect my everyday life is my paranoia, anxiety and agoraphobia.

I do not mean to question or insinuate there are problems where there weren't.

This is honestly the first site I felt comfortable enough to open up to. I feel safe here.

However, I have a horrible habit of reading into things the way they were not meant to be.

Take DP for instance. Her post above made me feel as though it was silly for me to have asked the question period.

I am 100% certain that is not what she intended however it is a constant daily battle to define reality and what my brain thinks is reality.

So please, be patient. I am learning to open up here.
