Verizon voicemail problems

I cannot access my Verizon voice mail any longer. It was using google voice. I then when to settings and told it to use my carrier for voice mail. When I dialed *86, it rang five times then when the number answered, I heard "The Google voice subscriber you have dialed is not available. Please leave a message after the tone."
I have tried uninstalling the app, and now doing a factory reset. The problem persists. How do I fix this?
