Verizon Starts The Official Lollipop Android 5.0 OTA Rollout for Moto X 2nd Gen Today!

Earlier today we talked about soak test invites being sent out for Moto X users. It looks like the soak test went well. Today Motorola announced that they will begin the Lollipop Android 5.0 rollout for the Verizon Moto X 2nd Gen. The version number is 22.21.11.en.US and is 678mb. The update brings Material Design (fluid animations, realtime shadows, ripples, and 3D elements, bold colors and bright contrast to light backgrounds), better visibility recents (parallex scrolling for easier reading, different contexts within same app appear as separate tabs contrast to light backgrounds), and more. This comes only a few days after the Pure Edition Rollout. To grab this update head to Settings, About Phone, Software Update this will check for the update, download, and install it. Once rebooted you will be ready to enjoy Lollipop on your Moto X 2nd Gen! \

Hopefully the Turbo won't be far behind in the update...the Moto X in our house has been updated and so far, running well (at least no complaints from the user )...
