I am aware that GSM phones can be "unlocked", and phones designed for one provider can be used on another provider's network (ie: a phone designed for AT&T used on a T-Mobile network).

Does anyone know (for certain) if CDMA phones designed for either Verizon or Sprint can be "unlocked" as well, so that a phone that was intended to be used on Sprint could then be used on Verizon (or vise versa)?
