Issue solved!!!! Compliments of my local VZW kiosk. Some of the SG4s (just like the SG3s) are coming with "Global" in the preferred network mode. You just need to select LTE/CDMA and the issue gets solved. From home screen: option>>settings>>more networks>>mobile networks>>netowrk mode>>LTE/CDMA

Thanks for passing that fix on. I too was having issues with slow speeds. Switching the preferred network mode worked
