Yeah, be careful with that. I've gone as far as moving on to the Review Changes screen that's right after that and that wasn't the case.

Estimated Savings was $11.90, but when I got to the next page, my "Previous Monthly" was $88.60 and "New Monthly" was 96.70.

That's not a savings to me.

I see what they are doing in the new My Verizon app / widget now Jonny. It's a little misleading, they are sneaky. They show "Current Bill" and "New Bill" side by side, and with the discount I get each month it shows the new XL Plan would be cheaper than my current bill. But the glitch is in the "Current Bill" amount, it is displaying the amount before my discount is applied, but the "New Bill" section is displaying with the discount. Sneaky! So, if I do chose the new XL plan it will be $10 a month more. But with 16 GB instead of 12 and with rollover. I'll think about it for a while.

IMO that is still a win... $10 more to prevent overage charges is not horrible..

Only if you're constantly hitting your cap. Otherwise, it's $10 extra a month for peace of mind that you don't actually use.

That's true... it will be worth it for me since my ex doesn't have wifi and has no plan to get any

Just spoke with customer service no promo data! Also, if anybody uses Family base to limit their families data... the representative said that when that member uses their allowed data it just shuts them off. The "safety mode" data doesn't pick up until the entire amount of data for the account is used. Just thought I'd share that bit of info.

That sort of sucks! My data hog is my oldest. But if I limit his data where he gets shut off when he reaches his limit, the rest of us can still enjoy our full speed data. When we run out, I will undo his data limit and he can enjoy 2g data for the remainder of the month.

I think that is going to be my plan as well... when we all run out I'll unlimit them and let them have some 2g goodness

John Legere is painting Verizon as a bully with yesterday's Tweets regarding the plan changes at Big Red: (what do you guys think?)

Since they are offering these new plans and not forcing us into anything, or any extra costs I don't see how they are the bully. If this was an automatic "your bill is going up by $$$ per month" situation, then I would agree. But right now they are just offering choices to their customers.

Yeah. The only thing that kinda sucks is that I'm sure they won't let you go back to your previous plan if it no longer exists if you decide one of these new plans isn't for you, but I'd hardly call that being a bully.

Since I'm content with the plan we have right now, I'm perfectly happy keeping it and not getting a price increase.
