Though the Motorola Droid is receiving the Android 2.2 Froyo update this week, Verizon Wireless is leaving out two key Froyo features.

Verizon Wireless promised to deliver the Android 2.2 Froyo update to the Motorola Droid starting "this week." The update hasn't started rolling out yet, but InformationWeek has already learned some disappointing news about it. According to Verizon Wireless, two of the biggest features being introduced by Android 2.2 Froyo won't be included in the Droid update: tethering and Wi-Fi hotspot creation.

Why would anyone care? You can do it for free without their service.
Id put this in the [/care] category, and many others probably will too.
I'm not knocking the post itself, I'm just saying "oh well" pretty much.

Removing something that the manufacture says the device can't do.....

That's like dividing by zero.....

It appears I might be caught in a paradox.

Verizon says I can't tether, but I'm posting on this website right now through PDANet.

Someone call Doc Brown and see if he can help me restore the time line before this trend continues and I wind up never being born.
