Verizon Debuts New Droid Series Video Commercials with 'DROID Matters' Slogan

Verizon debuted a series of four new Droid commercials to entertain and entice consumers. They are focusing on a new "DROID Matters" slogan/theme and highlighting some of the cool benefits of their new Droid series phones, the Mini, the Ultra and the Maxx.

There's one sad bit of news (relatively speaking) to go along with these cool videos. It looks like Verizon has discontinued the famous/infamous "DROID" sound which made old ladies flee and phone geeks giggle with glee. While some will be glad to see it go, for others it will be sorely missed. Ah well, the videos are worth a glance regardless.

Perhaps they're getting rid of the "Droid Does" slogan because the list of what Droid Doesn't is growing and it seems that the majority of all other non-droid devices can do what droid does... and more...

The "Droid" sound is still my default sound for texts and such. It's been that way since D1. When my phone says "Droid", everyone I work with knows it's me. It's who I am. LOL

droid doesn't matter in this day and age. there are bigger and better things out there. the ONLY thing droid has is the large battery in maxx.
