I recently performed a wipe and fresh install of SS 5.3. I found that not only did the "My Verizon" app not reinstall, I can no longer find it or any of the other official Verizon apps in the market. I performed a "fix permissions" using Rom Manager. I have also cleared cache and data for the market app and even completely reinstalled the market app. Lastly, I tried directly installing a few of these apps from the Verizon Wirless website, but could not do it there either. I had access to them all the way through SS 5.2. Is anyone else having this problem and is there anything else I can try to regain access the Verizon apps in 5.3?

Thank you for your time and input.

Have you tried to use titanium backup? You can restore app +data which should connect to the market especially if they updated the version and allow the update with the app and there you are you have the app back. Worth a try.

Chevy mentioned in this post that it might be due to the build fingerprint from FRG83D to FRG83G. He's looking into it :)

I restore some of my apps using t/b, just don't restore any system apps. Regular market apps are fine to do this with, as many of us do this when switching from rom to rom. When you restore your app and data to it hit on the app after you restore it, close out of it, go to the market, hit my apps and check to make sure it connected and if there is an update on the app, it will prompt you to update it, hit allow and your application is now available and updated. Hope it helps.

Thanks to everyone for their fantastic solutions. I was able to restore the "My Verizon" app using TB ::forehead slaps self for not thinking of this:: and used Market enabler to access the others. Thanks again!

    My Verizon

I am new to smart phones so I was still a little lost with the instructions in this thread. I called Verizon who called Motorola and no-one could find a way that I could reinstall My Verizon. Well... I have a free app called appreciation. It's for locating apps. I was browsing with it tonight and thought I'd search for Verizon. Like magic there it was at the top of the list. Go figure.
