I have noticed thy my widgets have started dissapearing. The other day they said failed to load. Then the annoying out of space messages. So I went move some also and uninstall others. Now certain widgets like facebook weather.com and handcent txt widgets ate not even on the widgets menu.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Are any of the apps in question on your SD card? Depending on how you've configured BB, they may have been moved, which would explain why they're not showing up in the widgets menu.

Yep. I have been battling the space issue so I've been moving stuff to the sd card. Once you do that you lose the widget ability? Any way to change thatt? Thanks for the info

Any app with a widget that you intend to use you'll need to keep in phone storage. There is no workaround for that, unfortunately. Out of curiosity, how many apps do you have on your phone? BB is actually not all that space intensive as far as ROMs go, so I'm curious where all of your storage has gone. Another possible solution if you have Root Explorer would be going through the ringtones and notification tones Pete has on the phone and either moving them to your SD card or deleting them.

that makes sense. The phone shows that I have 42 mb of internal storage left. I am assuming this is up because of my efforts in moving stuff to the sd card as well as zip aligning the apps. How much does zip aligning them help?

I just went into all apps and "counted" them. Each screen has 7 apps... so it appears that I have over 100 total apps. maybe around 70 or so downloaded

is this excessive? heck I dont think I use most of them, but any time I go to uninstall or move stuff, I always feel like I need something.... :) app hoarder?

I've had as many as 171, with 140 or so downloaded. Fortunately, I came to my senses and uninstalled a lot of the stuff I barely use, so I'm down to 60 or so. I actually haven't ever tried zipaligning stuff, so I can't help you with that. As for whether or not that's excessive, that's entirely up to you and what you use/don't use on your phone.

i dont feel that I need counseling just yet :) The thing that I think eats up a lot of room is I use touchdown for my corp email. It gets pretty heavy at times. Even with it on the sd card I think part of the data sits on the device.

Is this true of all apps?

Yeah, even when you move them to SD, there's still a portion that remains in the phone's storage. Exactly how much depends on the app (nook is a particularly large storage hog, as is Google Earth).
