Just pulled my phone out of my pocket and noticed it rebooting. I just installed V.3 this morning after wiping data/cache 3x. I set everything up then installed a low voltage P3 froyo kernel. I made a restore right before installing the p3 kernel so I will restore to that and see how long I can go w/o rebooting if at all.

What kernels are you guys using?

I went back to the stock kernel and had 2 reboots since 12 yesterday.

Just put on a chevy ULV 250-1200 on there now...

Is there anyway to figure out what is actually causing the phone to reboot? A logger or something?

I've been having this issue with every 2.2 rom out there. No matter what Kernal i use it does reboots... Tried BB 0.1, 0.2, 0.3(most stable) and SS and both give me random reboots when not even using the phone. Tried Chevy's Kernals and P3's Kernals all different Levels and Speeds and still get random reboots... Mostly when the phone is setting idle. If anybody could look into this please me and quite a few others would be greatly appreciative.

I was having issues with it on .2.1, then someone mentioned that it had something to do with having apps on the sd card. I move all my apps over to the phone and I haven't had any issues since. I'm running .3 now and no issues =).

I've also had a lot of reboots on 2.1 which I think had a lot to do with the reboot shortcuts but since being on 0.3 I haven't rebooted once...still on stock 800mhz kernal....only problem I have is with the launcher freezing(believe its tryna load all the apps I got) and sometimes having a unresponsive screen.

Phone just reset 2x while idling.

There has got to be a way to figure out what is causing it!

Well, not all phones work the same in regards to kernels.

Quote from Pete in the main BB .3 post:

*This ROM is overclocked to 800Mhz by default, not every Droid will be able to handle this clock speed!
Your Droid may not boot up or may have random shutdowns or reboots!*

You might try running a different kernel.

Other than that, I have no idea.

    Good Luck!

I've been running higher kernels on previous ROMs.

I've tried a couple of kernels. Still reboots randomly. Only does it while idling right now. Used to do it during phone convo's all the time and was frustrating. Hope this gets resolved. Love it otherwise!

Idle reboots here too, I haven't noticed it rebooting during a call like in 0.2 though. I've tried multiple kernels, apps are running off the phone and I've had reboot issues on all versions of BB Froyo. Previously ran BB 2.1 flawlessly @ 1.2ghz.
