i'll search for specific instructions for the X then.
Will flashing with RSD lite help this. My SD card was completely wiped. I have no original files, backups, I can boot to recovery as well as bootloaded. They both work, but i have nothing to pull and am not sure where to look for the files for the SD. If anyone has any insight on the issue it would be great. I am on Droid1, running frg22d. I have clockworkmod recovery, trying to go from rooted stock to shadow rom.
Look for an option to enable USB mass storage in CW. Enable it, then copy whatever ROM you want from your computer to the SD card and install manually.
very good instructions! it was very simple to do. thank you.
i followed the steps exactly and after 100 pct it went to FAIL.
Failed flashing process > FAIL
this works perfectly for droid X. Instead of pressing the dpad press camera and volume down per the write-up. got a pass first time!!
Thanks g00mba. Seems like everything about rooting is overly complicated and vague.
Just one question. I was following http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-x-hacks/92469-step-step-diy-boot-m-logo-pics.html Later found instructions were written for DroidX users. Is there a thread similiar for D1 users?
You'd be better off to start a thread; or look for a way to replace your boot logo. I think there might be a thread in this forum, actually... http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...m-bootloader-logos-replace-motorola-logo.html
Yeah a little off the topic, but here's my favorite boot logo thread:
Which I then used to do a write up at my site that has all the rest of the stuff needed:
Changing your Boot Logo (windows only!)
I think I found what I was looking for. Here is a link to my posting. Let me know if I'm leaving something out. I was able to change my boot logo using the listed method.
And I now bring you back from the non-scheduled threadjack.
