usb to HDMI adapters for Note2 and aps that work

So I've asked this of other phones so I will ask it of this phone as well. Has anyone used an adapter to put what is on your note 2 on to your HDTV? I'm going to a friends house who doesn't have showtime and I we want to watch shameless in a few weeks. I want to use an adapter to plug into the phone and into the tv. Do they work? How well do they work? Do they work with netflix, hulu or slingbox?

Nobody? Ah well found some videos online not sure if they are accurate. I guess the problem is playing a video really drains the battery threw usb/hdmi so you have to plug in a phone charger as well. They also changed the pin from an 5 pin to an 11 pin so you have that issue as well. But you can get an adapter for like 25 bucks and with a phone charger you are good to go. Now I just have to figure out what apps work, like netflix, sling box and what not. The guy on the video was using angry birds. It would be a lot easier if I actually had the phone.
