USB CRASHES Droid x

Wondering if anyone has had or can help with my problem. My droid x usb connection fails to even recognize that is connected via usb. There is nothing in the notification bar, nor nothing happens on my computer. The only way i can get it to work is to reboot the whole phone. When i try and reboot when usb is connected i get the bootloader screen until i unplug it. Any help appreciated, thanks!

one one step worse than me, had the whole not detected thing happening today, kept having to reboot. ended up uninstalling the moto drivers and reinstalling. works good for now
