I hate to have to post this, but I am stumped.

I have googled for hours.

I totally get the longer the video is the longer it takes to upload.

But, even on wifi short videos take almost 24 hours to post.

Thanks yall!

Might need more details here...

How long is the video? And do you know what format it's in (though I'm not sure if that matters...I think YouTube accepts any video format)? Is it coming from your phone, a tablet, or a PC? How big is the file being uploaded?

24 hours does seem a bit unusual for even an hour-long video...

This was posted yesterday at noon.

Format? I am sorry, I am unsure how to answer that. I just record video via my s7 then load. The video is 13 minutes and 25 seconds long.

From my experience, it's all about the connection. And upload speeds are usually the slowest. And knowing your past issues with data speeds, I'd guess it's your connection

Tapped from a Nexus 6
But see, I went to Starbucks to use their wifi because they are supposed to have the highest public wifi of 8.1.

And it still was slow.

1.6Gbs on a public connection, would take days. Are you sure it's 8.1Mbps or did someone just say that number? I can't find anything about starbucks advertising their speeds.

It would take me over an hour on my connection. Starbucks didn't design their WiFi for that.

Get a speed test app. To test your upload connections before doing so. At 1.6 GB of file to be transferred, over an 8 Mb connection would take you a minimum of 28 minutes. Longer if there is congestion.
Also make sure you've got your video matched to YouTube recommended settings prior to the upload.

I'm not sure where they are getting the 4G average from. Maybe I'm in a less congested city. But even traveling I average around 15 up in areas like Chicago or Indianapolis.
