Upgrading while still under contract

Hey all,

So I'm hoping to take advantage of that free 4G extravaganza sale Amazon Mobile is having Monday, but alas, all of my lines are under contract. BUT, two of the lines are "eligible for an upgrade", so would using an upgrade extend that phone's contract 2 years, or would it simply end 2 years from Monday?

If the line has an upgrade, the contract is renewed the day you get the new phone, so the contract would be for 2 years from Monday, eligible for upgrade 20 months from Monday...

wait i thought that only people who are starting NEW contracts can do this, not upgrades.

A few months ago, as Amazon Wireless was just starting, you could only start a new contract/line to upgrade with them. Now you can upgrade as they have access to your phone company's account info.
