upgrading to JB 4.2.2

I am running JB 4.1.2 and I am looking to go to 4.2.2. Presently i am safestraped so if I use Matts utility I am given two options one wipes the data and two is no data wipe. Which of these should I use?
Secondly if I update the firmware will I have to re root my phone and install safestrap? Thanks in advabce.

JB 4.1.2 is the current version of the regular Maxx. If you are SSd, you already have root. I am not sure what version the Maxx HD is on, but if you have that phone, you may need to post your question there.
