upgrading kernal while on cm9

    hi everyone im currently on ics 2.0.8 and i was wondering if there was a way to update my kernal while on the rom.

    No, sorry. The update has to be applied through the stock recovery, meaning no custom recovery, meaning no custom rom. Also it's going to perform some system checks that only Motoblur .219 will pass.

    Wow, didn't realize that. I'm glad I was on .213 when I flashed CM9 then.

    can i safestrap over and do it on that side?

    I don't think you can dual boot with two different kernels. The kernel partition is shared so the same kernel would boot both sides.

    Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...

    What exactly is ICS 2.0.8? Do you mean .208?

    ya thats what i ment. and what i was saying with safestrap and use the stock ics to upgrade it so both sides will get the new kernal
