I was looking to buy a 32 gig MicroSD HC and was wondering what class I will need to shoot 1080p video well?

there seems to be a few 10 classes on amazon but are not 10 class speed. I wonder what the stock SD card's class is?

any help would be greatly appreciated. My phone arrives tomorrow by 3, fingers crossed, so I will update class if I can figure it out when I get it.

dancedroid so glad its finally out! VIVA physical keyboards!!!

New Egg has an awesome deal on a Patriot 32gb Class 10 card, better than Amazon's prices. Although there are a couple people that were saying it wasn't quite Class 10 speed.

The 16gb card that came with my OG Droid was a Sandisk Class 2. Can't be much worse than that.

Great. Class 10 is what we need, that super fast read/write speeds for 1080p video. Oh can't wait.

I stand corrected. That deal on the patriot card is gone today. Found another good deal on newegg though. I usually buy on Amazon, but new egg just seems to have better deals on flash memory.

You need to see how many MB/s the video will be and choose accordingly. But I guarantee you it won't be over 4 MB/s (that's 240 MB/min for the math challenged). Why? Class 6 and 10 cards have issues due to their optimizations for sequential write speeds. Random read/write suffers and causes freezes and other non-performance issues in phones.

Well I just checked both Amazon and NewEgg.com and here is what I found.

Amazon is $9.00 cheaper plus you get a $15 MIR so you get $24 off compared to New Egg. If you have Amazon Prime (I do) then shipping is free. I need to order one asap.

This is why I said that I stand corrected. When I checked yesterday, this card was listed for 52.99 on New Egg.

I personally am not going to spend over $30 for a little flash card, I *think* I have this one in my Droid D right now:
Newegg.com - SanDisk 16GB Micro SDHC Flash Card Model SDSDQ-016G-A11M

My card says microSDHC, 16GB and there is a 2 in a circle in the top right corner (not sure what that means)

I've had this since my Droid 1, and video recordings have always stuttered once in a while, so I guess it's not that high end.

unless moto actually did the smart thing and upgraded the card reader hardware, a faster class card isn't gonna do anything but cost more. I'm pretty sure the slot its still only capable of class 2, which seems to be fine for 1080 so far.
