I upgraded to 3.13.605.7 71ORD using the leak provided by Android Police last June. Is there a way to update it without having to download the latest and rebuild it back from scratch? When I go to settings and ask it to look for an update, it says "No new software update available."

What is the latest official build and will it do updates automatically?

The only way to update from a leak is to download and install an RUU zip file.

The exception is when the leaked RUU happened to be or becomes an official released versions.

You can look into backup software to help backup your settings. Some require root access and some don't.

This is the official ics ruu for the rezound

There is also a leaked global phone ruu

You're completely better off RUU'ing and rebuilding from scratch. The newer versions have new firmware as well as updated software. If you backed up your data/apps, you'd be running them in a completely new environment and may cause issues.
