I have an "Old" version of DroidMod on my phone (Verizon Moto Droid). I rooted months ago while running OTA 2.0.1, long before the OTA 2.1 was released.

I want to go ahead and install the "Current" version of DroidMod.

My question is… Do I need to do anything special prior to installing the current DroidMod, like unroot, get the most recent OTA update, then reroot?

    Here is my current configuration…

    Firmware version
    2.0.1

    Baseband version
    C_01.3E.01P

    Kernel version
    2.6.29-compcache06_unionfs253-sholes-omap1-hg383b38baebcb-dirty

    Build number
    DroidMod 164(1.0)

    Thanks
    Steve

nope it might even work if you just apply over top of it. make a backup though.

you might have to wipe data/cache, if the install over top doesnt work

If you go to droidmod.org, there's plenty posts there from those having major issues. I'm in your shoes, old DroidMod on my phone, too. Someone posted at droidmod.org that you can just use ROM Manager and install the newest version of BuglessBeast, (it's the newest Froyo version), and it's perfect.
    Hadn't tried it yet...
