I've been all over this site, and other Android sites trying to find a way to upgrade to the 902 release.

I'm currently running 5.7.893 on a NON rooted Bionic. I applied this current version (5.7.893) from a download from this site.

I have two files now on the sd-EXT Root directory.

Blur_Version.5.5.893.XT875.Verizon.en.US
AND
Blur_Version-1.5.5.893.XT875.Verizon.en.US

When I follow the upgrade directions the phone starts to update and then I get an error message.

Neither one will update, both result in error messages about sidecar or sidekick, or something like that. I've tried several times with no luck.

Do I need to go back to an earlier version? I've tried the battery pull, and then going to the "Check for Updates" option and it tells me that I'm running the latest version.

I should be able to figure this out, but I'm stuck and would like to get back onto the update path.

Thanks in advance for your time....

Updates are named from the files they come from. Since you're at 5.7.893, not 5.5.893, neither file will work.

You need to get back to 5.5.893. When you check for updates, you're pinging the carrier, who checks what you have. Since you don't have what the carrier is expecting, it says you're up to date.

Try taking a look at http://www.droidforums.net/forum/motorola-droid-bionic/189885-back-upgrade-path.html and http://www.droidforums.net/forum/mo...-894-offical-update-before-ics-update-18.html and http://www.mydroidworld.com/topic/9906-bionic-path-saver-1-click-method/ for some information.
