    Hi Folks,

I've been running SS 4.7 on my Droid 1 for quite a while and finally realized that I'm missing out on a lot of new features.

I've grabbed the current 5.2 rom and just wanted to check and see if there was anything that would bite me if I jumped straight from 4.7 to 5.0.

    Thanks

Taking this one step further - I only need to save / sync my contacts. Would it be better to do a full reset and then simply install SS 5.2?

Since you are coming from 4.7 you will definitely have to do a wipe before installing. You will have best results if you do not restore from TiBU for this install. Set everything back up. Your comect information should be preserved by Google.

Also, make sure you are not using SPR to flash 5.2. Use RZR 2.0.3 instead.

    You will really enjoy 5.2.

    It's done and life's good!

I took time to clean up the phone. Wiped it completely and RZR'd the 5.2 ROM. First time through the setup, the Google login hung, but after a reboot, everything's running well. Now I've got a much more manageable number of apps I'll actually use.
