Just installed this rom last night and I love it. I hit the check for updates button and there was one found. So should I install it, does it only show stable updates or nightlies, and lastly should I wipe and clear cache before these updates? Thanks

I would install the update. I havent run into any issues even before the updates but the more recent one seems to have helped people with messaging problems. I did not wipe anything before installing the update and ran into no problems.

No problem. And on a side note the second update, which takes you to 5.0.2, allows you to lock an app into memory to avoid gingerbread's aggressive task killer from killing it on you. This was what was causing the messaging issues so if you do run into problems you could always lock google voice in there.

If I remember correctly that was the only change that I read about. And I havent noticed any different settings of any sort since I updated. In fact, all the themes for 5.0.1 were still compatible with 5.0.2.

5.0.2 adds the option to lock in memory as mentioned. it's especially helpful if you're having issues with sms/mms. Just lock you messaging app in memory and it'll resolve the issue.

It's a temp fix for the aggressive task killer in GB...

I found that locking tapatalk into the second slot lets me jump to the browser for lets say, a link or a picture, then jump back to tapatalk without it needing to reload. :)
That's something I've always wanted so this SMS thing was a blessing to me.

I ran compcache for a couple of days & it works just fine with compatible kernels but now have it disabled with no issues so I don't believe it is necessary :)
