Is there anyway to keep root access and get the over the air update?

Is there anyway to keep root access and get the over the air update?

Make sure the superuser app is updated as well as the binaries and download VooDoo Root Keeper from the Market, run it to protect root, then before upgrading run the Temp Unroot option from the app, upgrade, then use the app to restore root.

As long as you disabled the apps through the stock app manager you can leave then disabled. If you froze them with a third party app you'll have to defrost them before an update.
Thank you dfcfu342 and TisMyDroid! I think I'm all set then! TisMyDroid, I really hope they let us change the lock screen apps with JB. I just want to trade the text app to something useful!

Oops, wrong thread. So far, I haven't discovered a way from stock lockscreen but you can using a custom lockscreen.
