unrooting and froyo OTA update

    i have a warranty replacement coming for my D1, so i need to go from rooted froyo to nonrooted froyo. i Just got the OTA this morning. do i just run it, or is there more to do?

    do you have a ROM on your phone? and what recovery method are you using?

    its like the first rooted froyo. im pretty sure its sprecovery

    If you are rooted, and have SPR. I believe even if you try and install it will fail.

    To get back to stock Go here: SBF to root and to unroot

    do option 1 then 5, you will be stock 2.0.1. To return your phone You don't have to be on 2.2, just unrooted and no custom recovery

    cant i just do option 6 and flash froyo non-root (assuming its posted online somewhere)?

    Option 6 will leav behind all your apps that require root and SPR, you could uninstall the apps, but the only way to get rid of SPR that I know of is option 5

    worked great. got the new droid and im installing 2.2 now :)
