1. You want that $100.00 in your pocket or an Amazon Fire TV don't you? Well here's the deal. With our new updated look we are in desperate need of an updated logo. The 'old' one has certainly served us well, but it's time. Find all the details here: bit.ly/1q0k6Wa

    Good luck.

    Review:

Doesn't have 2.1 launcher or live wallpapers
    Doesn't have root.
Is a stable version of 2.1, smooth as butter with no force closes.
Can download 2.1 apps like google earth...still no love with live wallpapers.
    3G works like a champ.
    Voice works like a champ.
    Messaging and Email are perfect.

All and all I'm unhappy. The two functions that made 2.1 a cut above 2.0.1 was live wallpapers and the app launcher with 3d drawer. It runs swiftly and works (with whats available), but I'm much more happy with DroidMod ROMs at the moment. Time to flash an sbf for superman logo on my bootloader and go back to my DM 1.0

Thanks for letting us know. Was in the jump about this, but if you enjoy DroidMod more than I will stick with DroidMod because I like the way my phone is set up now.

The only thing I would say about this that was nice is the stock kernel with 250/550MHz that came with it was still fast as all hell. I would go as far as to say faster than 2.0.1 stock kernel. I don't know if it is a function of 2.1 being faster, or what...but if its any look to what the real 2.1 update will be for speed, regular droid users (unrooted, un OC'd) will be in for a treat.

May be nice to build on in the future, but not until some clever person figures out how to root it.

I would have stuck with it, but you cannot install Google Maps 4.0 with this build. You will receive an error, something about not being correctly signed.

Odd that the update.zip exploit wasn't fixed, I thought for sure it had.

    But good info man! Hi-five!

Sweet....let me get this right, you installed 2.1 and got root? Then there should be a way to install the stuff they left out like the launcher and the 5 home screens, maybe even live wallpaper right?:)

Haven't gone that far, but yes :)

I had to manually uninstall GMaps to install 4.0 though.
