Teddy will my phone seek to download that last update over the air? Do you think I should just update it manually? Is it available over the net?

Your phone _might/should_ find it when on either 3g or WiFi, however, I don't know how long they keep those OTA's on the servers checking for phones needing them. As I said, there really isn't any benefit to the update, however if you insist, I do have it in my collection. It is also in my unrooting guide as well.

Teddy I may have misspoke. If you say the latest update doesn't make a difference then I do not want to install it. The reason I asked if it could be found somewhere on the net is because if it will be downloaded OTA automatically then I'd prefer to install it manually then take a chance on that nonsense I went through with the other OTA download in the past.

Hey Teddy. My phone tried to do the frk76 update OTA and it wouldnt work so I had to do it manually. The manual update worked so I should now be on the latest update. I used the Peter Alfonzo frk76 file because it said it was rooted. I did not know if the one you have listed was rooted or not. Do you know anything about Peter Alfonzo? Seemed kind of funny to see his twitter listed on my phone screen when the files were installed. Is that Peter Alfonzo file OK?

It's ok. He's well known in the Android community & a member here. I've used his files before without issues. And so have many, many others.

    no 3g

so I rooted my droid x in 4.5.621 with the method from Skelente on the XDA forum. i could not send pic texe's. e-mail was fine and only small issues but i was happy. wife wanted a new phone so i fihured i would unroot reflash and sell it on craigs list as a gtg droid X. the issue comes when unrooting through RDS light somehow all my system info got changed to a sprint service, I am on Verizon. messed with it for a few hours and got it reflashed to gingerbread 3.4.5.
How to SBF Your Droid X WITHOUT USING RSDLITE
now i have reflashed 3 times, everytime i wipe data and catch, restart *228 and i still have yet to get a 3g signal. I can make calls use the wifi in my house to up date and anything else but no 3g.
    someone please help.

Sounds to me like you have the wrong sbf file. I'm sure if you search our droid x section you'd find some help.

I understand that this is a little late but what is meant by "Connect your phone to USB and turn it off then while your phone is booting hold up on the DPAD."
I am confused by the hold up on the DPAD

Holding the phone in landscape, it will be up. Holding it in portrait, it will be to the right.
