So my rooted phone was having issues. I downloaded an OTA off the web. I assume it was not the one for a mot droid and now the phone states “no service” on the top right side of the screen. Will not dial out, will not connect with google, and no wifi (but it does power up and can access everything). I tried wiping it to fact defaults, deleting the cache, and re-rooting but nothing works. Is their a factory rom I can d/l and bring it back?

    PLEASE HELP!

Hey I used this forum post to get the manual official 2.0.1 update on my droid after I rooted my phone. You can try this, the download link is at the bottom of this post.

In theory to remove the sprecovery, you would rename the recovery-from-boot.bak or what ever you named it to recovery-from-boot.p (the original file name) Should reside in the phone/system subdirectory. Personally, unless someone can confirm that this would not cause some major fiasco, I would let it go.
