Unlocked Boot Status?

Any word on efforts to unlock the bootloader? Is Moto still unresponsive on the issue? Is it even relevant or worth it at this point or ever in the future?

There have been a number of petitions that have been formed with this intent. But honestly I would not say it is likely since there really is no benefit to Motorola if they do unlock them. We had a News article about it not too long ago, if I can find it I will put the link in here fore you.
