Is there any other way to unlock the phone besides just sliding down or using the pattern? I was wondering if there is something like the pin code that the iphone has

I think you can hit the menu button and it will unlock it.

I think he is wondering if there is a more secure way to KEEP the phone locked, like a PIN.

If I am understanding the question correctly, anyway.

And yes, you can "password protect" it, not exactly a password though, but you can set it so that you have to swipe a certain code in order to unlock it. Is that what you were asking?

I have mine set to do this, so that just anyone cant pick up the phone and use it.
