Never seen it before on my phone, but it's shaped like an SD Card ... can you access your SD Card on your phone? The "SD Card-EXT" (the removable one)

That means you have a simcard issue.

Power off the phone, remove the simcard, power on, power off, replace the simcard, power on... be careful.. its delicate..

If this doesn't work.. go to your local vzw store and get a replacement... they're free.

Thanks for your quick replies!
I'm not sure how to remove the sim card but it has gone away after rebooting. Seems ok now.

Its in the little compartment in the left side of the phone... its the white plastic piece with a gold foil sticker on it.

The black chip is your SD card...

Glad you got it handled. :)

It's in the little port on the side right next to the SIM card ... as 94lt1 said be careful, it's delicate. Push in on it gently and it should pop out.
