I have BB.4 installed an after I uninstalled setcpu, due to hearing its not required with this rom. But now when I go into the app "System" it says my max cpu is 550. This rom is suppose to go to 800mhz. Anyone know why this is happening?

Most roms will default to the stock, or the closest thing to stock cpu speed. Just because it's a 1000mhz rom doesn't mean will it run at that speed. Some roms specify that it will, but most won't. You need setcpu to adjust and set your speed. I run a 250/800 w/ setcpu on the kernel that came with SS4.5. No problems.

It's been a while since I used BB0.4, but doesn't it have a script for setting the clock speed? If Pete didn't write one, someone else did. I remember seeing it.

Yes there is a script for it. Setcpu is not needed for 0.4 unless you want profiles.

Uninstall Setcpu, reboot,in terminal emulator type:

    su
    cpuinfo

should return max speed: whatever kernal you are running
    min speed: 250Mhz

Works for me and most others

Yeah it eventually started showing a max of 800 mhz. It just took about a day. But yeah I heard some people getting better battery life without it. Probably just coincidence but I tried it. Nothing different so I'll probably go back an install setcpu. I want to try a ULV kernel if I can get into recovery. Recovery is not working at all.
